My Short Biography edit

My parents have told me that since the age of 3 I've been a nut with technology and I think they're right in almost every account. I do recall when I was young (I don't remember when) that upon encountering some broken Christmas Lights (an important part of christmas, right?) that ruined the holiday spirit because it's musical nature could no longer work anymore (makes you sad, right?) that I took out some electrical tape and fixed those right up. Technology has been a strong suit of mine since then, and I've moved past my interests in hardware and moved towards a more software side learning more about programming, instead of just learning syntax or saying that I’ve learned or know a certain language. If you’d like to talk to me about a little programming in any of the languages I can work with, or you’d even like to discuss some theory I’d be glad to do a little chatting (Maybe hop on #php@EFnet and get a little help from me live ;])

Why am I on the WP:CVU (Counter Vandalism Unit)? edit

It's actually quite a personal thing that I've committed to doing, with good reason in my mind. I’ve used the Wikipedia for information for all sorts of subjects, getting some research for a history paper, or reading about some science topic or just generally reading for personal enjoyment. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing with the Wikipedia, but the information is sound and good and fun to read, and I’d hate for something like the Wikipedia to end up some day belonging to the vandals. One such vandal is actually someone I know, he finds it entertaining to come and remove a few articles from the website, in the past I’ve just sat there doing nothing as the WP:CVU members and their administrative members warned, reverted and banned or otherwise spent time making changes that in all honesty shouldn’t have to be made. We don’t live in a perfect world, and people will do things to hurt things (and the flow of information) perhaps for the wrong reason. I’ve felt that by doing nothing I was only hurting and I had a drive inside me to do something about it, and that’s why I’m on the CVU and my simple goal is to stop people like my lost friend.
