My greatest desire in life is to be a polymath. I wish to see everything, experience everything, and know everything. Everything is a bit much, but I intend to so what I can towards this goal. As such I study biology (namely marine), program, do graphic design, hike, kayak, dive, photograph, write, brew, and do martial arts.

My choice of username come from the distortion of Wisakedjak into Whiskey Jack (as seen in American Gods and several other sources). I have a deep and abiding love of trickster spirits including Wisakedjak, Coyote and Anansi, I share their sense that people take themselves far too seriously some times, and their ever-present reminders that humor is a vital part of life.
