My name is Walter Harvey Crompton, Jr.., and 'Walticular' is my Wikipedia pen name. My primary interests are history, archaeology, rare fruits, crafts, nature, technology and science. I am nominally retired (formerly working mostly as a biomedical engineer), but remain active in several professional pursuits, including some consulting in my traditional roles, and increasingly as a health activist. These days, I am most deeply engaged in 'geroscience', especially the quest for maintaining, restoring, and augmenting the strength, vigor and resilience that characterizes youth and the early phases of adulthood.
