Emmanuel Wabwire is the Executive Director of Faraja Africa Foundation; a non-profit organization that strongly applies the principles of social entrepreneurship, digital literacy, leadership and civic engagement for social change in Africa for nation building. He also is the Gold Award Winner of the Duke of Edinburg International Award. He carries an academic background in a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelors in Development Studies. Emmanuel has over 9 years of experience in youth development work under thematic areas of social entrepreneurship leadership and civic engagement, digital literacy, economic empowerment, and education. He is a Social Entrepreneur at Faraja Safaris and Writer running his own Blog. Along the years, he has also had the privilege of serving in various leadership positions over the years, amongst which he was the: Chief Executive Officer & Founder of the International Development Students Society (2011-2014), the African & European Regional Representative of the Commonwealth Students Association (2012 – 2015), the Guild President Uganda Christian University (2012-2013), the Secretary International Affairs of the Uganda National Students Association (2013-2014), Treasurer for Uganda Red Cross Society Youth Council, Youth Chairperson for Uganda National Commission for UNESCO and a strong voice at the All Africa Students Union.

As Program Manager of the UNDEF Young Women Democracy Project, Emmanuel successfully and positively impacted the lives of 1500 young girls and women all over Uganda. He helped facilitate the process of their political empowerment. Their participation in Democratic process of 2015-2016 tremendously increased under the management of CEDA International.
