CVM Television CVM Television is one of the Two major local Free to Air Television Broadcasters in Jamaica, the TVJ.

“CVM” is an acronym for the 3 companies that started the station in 1993:- ‘C’ - Community Television ‘V’ - Videomax ‘M’ - Mediamix.

In 2006, Portland Holdings Inc acquired an 85 per cent controlling stake in the Local United General Insurance Company, the largest auto insurer in Jamaica, and renamed the firm Advantage General Insurance Company. A controlling interest in CVM Communications Group (consisting of radio and television stations and newspapers) was purchased at the same time.

CVM Television Acquired the rights to air the 2014 FIFA World Cupin Jamaica.

CVM Televisions Local Programs include NewsWatch, The Owen James Report, FootBall GPS, Live@7, CVM@Sunrise, OnStage, On A Personal Note, LoveZone and DWrap.

CVM Television airs syndicated programs Scandal,Teen Wolf,The Good Wife,Bates Motel,Sherlock, Jane Eyre,Davinci's Demons,Suits,Boss and Anger Management (TV series).

Indian Dramas Strange Love and It Seems Beautiful.

Rerun Programs include Hotel Babylon,The_District, The Jeffersons and The Jamie Foxx Show.

Previous aired Programs include Death In Paradise,Caribbean's Next Top Model, NCIS:_Los_Angeles and Navy NCIS.
