Gita Devi is the secretary of the Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University and the elder sister and personal secretary of the university's chancellor Rambhadracharya.[1] Born in Jaunpur, she became a discipline of a Guru named Ranchordas in her childhood.[2] She was also to get the first Ph.D degree from the Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University.[2] She also inaugurated the book "The pledge of Girish Karnad" written by Dr.Poonam Pandey.[3] She was alleged by former teachers of the university for misusing UGC's funds and filling the university's job vacancies with ineligible people.[1] It was also said that despite being physically fit, she was shown as a disabled and given a Ph.D. degree from the university.[4]
