It Takes a Rim Village - Oregon COTW

Greetings WikiProject Oregon member, time for the next edition of the Collaboration of the Week. Thanks to those who assisted in improving a few articles over the last month. For May Day edition of the COTW (in Wikipedia time its May already), we have by request Rim Village Historic District and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (AKA OMSI). Rim Village just needs some refinement to get to GA, while OMSI needs a lot of work in general. As always, click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. Adios (on May 5th that is). Aboutmovies (talk) 04:44, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:18, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, I think. Katr67 (talk) 06:01, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Albany, Oregon

Hello Katr67,

I have seen you edit on Albany, Oregon before and I am looking for so slightly more expert advice on what to do with it next, what I can do to improve it. I have added alot of material to it and need people to look it over and tell me what would make it better. I am still very new to the Wiki process and I think fresh eyes would help me make it a better article and maybe get it to B-Class.MathewDill (talk) 06:08, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I haven't been on much lately. Looks like you've talked to the other WPORE folks though, so hopefully they have some input. Katr67 (talk) 06:01, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

WPCAL?!?!?

What's this I hear about treason? And who moved the furniture? Ouch. Katr67 (talk) 06:01, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Oh, it's been terrible around here! People moving, getting jobs, using their work computers for work...cats and dogs living together. I hope you're back, otherwise I may have to mind the store by myself and the bulk of the state's history will be about obscure football players and losers of dusty old elections.
Seriously, nice to see you. Hope all is well. --Esprqii (talk) 06:07, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh! I forgot to mention the worst thing of all: on his way out, Tedder is beating up on 94-year old ladies. --Esprqii (talk) 06:10, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

List of Yamhill County post offices

Hi. I've been editing articles that link to "nwdata.geol.pdx.edu/OR-GIS/PlaceNames/" which is no longer available and for which I cannot find an archived version. I ran across List of Yamhill County post offices. I'm not sure why the link exists in this article. The site, if I remember correctly, was just of list of names, coordinates and elevations. I just left the page alone. Maybe you have an idea about why the citation exists and if it needs to be replaced. Thanks  –droll [chat] 19:00, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

I don't have time to check but the PSU site was the same info that was in GNIS, so if there is something that needs a citation, I'd just use GNIS. I'm not at all invested in that article, BTW. I'd nominate it for deletion, actually but WP:NOHARM, I guess. Katr67 (talk) 03:26, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Portland Parks Photo Blitz!

<font=3> Want something to do this weekend? I propose a WikiProject Oregon weekend photo blitz! Let's try to fill up the List of parks in Portland, Oregon as much as possible by getting out and taking our own pictures or finding ones online that can be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. The pictures uploaded will not only benefit the aforementioned list, but they will be used for future articles about specific parks and will fill up the Parks in Portland category over at Commons. Get your cameras ready!
