Ugas hails from Odha location, Libehiya division of Mandera East, Mandera County.
Son of a provincial administrator, Ugas schooled at Kamor Primary school, Joined the prestigious Sheikh Ali High school and later transfered to Arabia Boys school.
Ugas enroled for post secondary studies at the university of Nairobi. Holds a diploma in Public relation and later on persued undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the same university.
