Niraj Shah is the Markets Editor at Bloomberg Quint, India's first digital live streaming business news service. Shah heads the markets band, and leads the editorial coverage of all things equities at the Bloomberg Quint Platform, be it the website, the live stream or the podcasts. He anchors the market opening show, Indian Open and the Market closing show, Countdown. Niraj also hosts two signature shows, The Mutual Fund Show and Alpha Moguls, both of which have received widespread appreciation from the investing community.

Prior to Bloomberg Quint, Shah was a part of the team that set up ET Now, the business news channel of The Times Group, where he started as a Markets Anchor and rose to the position of Senior Stocks Editor over eight years. Shah worked at CNBC India for a breif period of three years, before which he had a small stint trading gold and currencies in the risk department of a large jewellery manufacturer and exporter.

Niraj graduated from the SSC Board in 1995 and went on to do his Masters in Commerce from Mumbai University and a Masters in Finance from NMIMS. Shah is also the founding member of Soch, a not-for-profit organisation aimed at distributing transformational ideas for changing India. He has routinely been associated with pro-bono organisations like the Forum of Young Activists in Mumbai, as also Anjeze, a trust helping cancer patients in the city of Mumbai.
