The following is a list of preserved Locomotives of the London and North Eastern Railway. This list includes all locomotives which were given a classification in the LNER system. This means it includes pre-grouping locomotives inherited by the LNER, locomotives built by the LNER, and locomotives built by British Railways to LNER designs after nationalisation. Fake Nos edit
With a large number of Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0STs being preserved from industrial railways, several of these have been disguised as Class J94.
In addition, WD Austerity 2-8-0 79257 has been preserved with the fake BR number 90733, which is one greater than the last of the BR ex-WD Austerity 2-8-0. Some of the BR Austerities were ex-LNER Class O7, . It has not (yet) carried LNER livery.
