Tom Buckley was educated in New York at Parsons School of Design New York, Paris, Rome, and finally at the Slade School of Design in London. His early years with the legendary McMillen Inc of New York launched him into the national spotlight which led to the founding of Brown-Buckley, Inc.

Tom Buckley’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Town and Country, House and Garden, Vogue, House Beautiful, Interior Design, New York Times and Los Angeles Times, among others.

His clients have included social leaders, corporate businesses, as well as entertainment and government projects. A few notable figures include Ambassador & Mrs. R. Tuttle, Mrs. Anne Ford Johnson, Mr. & Mrs. Edsel Ford, Mrs. Marjorie M. Post, and Mr. & Mrs. Walter Matthau. Corporate and business projects have included ten branches of Northern Trust California Banks, and Northrop Air Craft (Los Angeles offices twice, four corporate planes, Town House and Corporate Apartment in Washington D.C.). During his time at McMillen Inc Tom worked on The White House’s State Dining Room and State Reception Hall.
