Roger simpson born 1954 is a watercolour artist from Liversedge west yorkshire England,he studied at Batley art college and Dewsbury art school. He is largely a self taught artist and although he has painted most of his life with different media it was only around fifteen years that he started to paint with watercolour. He paints a lot of horse racing paintings with this medium which he is quite well known for in Yorkshire and beyond and has won numerous awards and commendations for his horse racing paintings.
He has painted wth artist Tom Wood who runs a life drawing class in Batley West Yorkshire and who is a well known English artist who painted Prince Charles and celebrities like Barbara Windsor. Roger Simpson has exhibited throughout Yorkshire and beyond and also exhibited at the Menier and Mall galleries in London.
