I'm a researcher in quantum information, but I have a strong professional interest in other mathematical/computing topics. I also have a strong amateurish interest in linguistics. Finally, I have a personal interest in Santa Barbara, California, Pasadena, California, and the Rheinland-Pfalz where I've grown up. My edits on Wikipedia are pretty scattered, based on wherever I've seen improvement; I haven't written many articles. I did write Gamma-ray laser, which was fun.
