Adamu Magaji Yunbunga mni, popularly known as Yunbunga, is a Nigerian computational mathematics professor. He also refers to himself as "M.Y. Adamu' in some of his professional writing.[1]

Yunbunga was born on October 1st, 1970, in Yunbunga, Darazo LGA, Bauchi State.

Yunbunga obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Mathematics with First Class honors from the University of Maiduguri in 1996. At the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University he obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc. Hons.) in 2006 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2013, both in Mathematics. Professor Adamu also studied at the University of Kermansha, Iran, in 2010. [2]

Yunbunga is a graduate of the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPS Kuru).[3] He was subsequently recognized as an Institute member (denoted by the post-nominal letters, "mni")

Professor Adamu has spent most of his career at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. Starting as an Assistant Lecturer and eventually was appointed Professor of Applied Mathematics in 2018. Professor Adamu’s research focuses on the numerical solution of differential equations.

From 2018 to 2022, Professor Adamu served as the Provost of Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education, Kangere.[4][5]
