I am primarily a 'deletionist' on Wikipedia: I delete, revert, and cut-out all the endless crap that works its way into the articles. This sort of stuff is rather abundant on the Wiki, so my work is never really done.
I'm not anything of an expert beyond this scope, and I rarely add anything to an article.
I primarily have various games on my watch list, and I check daily to see if there is anything added that needs to be removed. I do this so that other editors can actually have the time, and resources, to add high-quality, verifiable, content to the various articles.
You are probably reading this because you do not like me: My apologies. The resolution you seek to the issue is simple: Add a 3rd party, neutral, verifiable source to the additions you are making.
Also, one of the most common issues with heavily-updated games (such as many MMOs) is that editors feel the need to add details and descriptions of every single update and patch. This will eventually, if left unchecked, result in a huge list of updates. This is referred to as 'cruft' - it doesn't really add anything of substance to the article, and just piles-up like junk.
