I am a very occasional contributor and editor of wikipedia.

I live in, and am a fan of, Oakland, CA.

My wife and I co habitat with a locally bred Timneh African Grey parrot named Luna who hatched in November 1998. She was noted as "Grey Parrot #7" in a Harvard study that for the first time demonstrated certain species of animals likely have rhythm.^[1]^[2]

Since 1989 I have been developing enterprise software as a founder and owner of Palo Colorado Software.

I follow University of Michigan football.

I follow Detroit Red Wings hockey. I was noted as the Red Wings Fan of the Day on August 11, 2011 wearing my Franzen jersey on the north shore of Lake Tahoe.^[3]

I am an expert skier who frequents Alpine Meadows.

I enjoy backpacking and with my wife, friends and family and have conscientiously explored off-trail areas in the Sierra Neveda mainly around Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park and Kings Canyon National Park.
