The Transmontane Territory (Chinese: 後山; pinyin: Hòushān) or (Chinese: 山後; pinyin: Shānhòu) was a division of Taiwan under Qing jurisdiction from 1684 to 1875. It denoted areas outside the control of the Qing administration, and corresponded to modern-day Taidong County, Hualian County, all but three townships of Nantou County, and until 1811, Yilan County.
