A slightly less old block edit

I've been blocked again, this time again on two different IP addresses that were autoblocks. One of my blocks is under 152.163.100.200 the other is under 152.163.100.5. Both are because the IP addresses were used by vandal only accounts. Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Leo the Snake". Old Block edit

Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Newlyregistered". The reason given for Newlyregistered's block is: "Your username (FireSpike) has been blocked indefinitely because it is either inappropriate or too similar to an existing username (see our blocking policy for more information). You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username, and in a constructive manner. See Wikipedia:Username for guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may edit your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. My IP address is 152.163.100.200

Try again, that autoblock should be gone now. --pgk(talk) 20:08, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Ugh. I'm still blocked. FireSpike 20:14, 15 July 2006 (UTC) Now it claims that my IP address is 64.12.116.7.
And is it still the same block reason? I can't see any outstanding autoblocks for that user. Also have you read Wikipedia:Advice_to_AOL_users which might help avoid these problems in the future. --pgk(talk) 20:29, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
It is a different username that has been blocked. It's "Poolove0504".
Ok removed that autoblock for that one too. --pgk(talk) 20:35, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank You! Everything seems to be working now! :) FireSpike 21:17, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Welcome!

File:Sephiroth.gif Hello, T/Archive1, Welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope you like working here and want to continue. If you need help on how to name new articles, look at Naming Conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the Manual of Style. If you need general help, look at Help and the FAQ, and if you can't find your answer there, check the Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and the Policy Library. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal — and if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my talk page.
Additional tips:
Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
  • If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
  • Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
  • You might want to add yourself to the New User Log.
  • If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language.
Happy editing!

The First Clue AfD edit

Hey there!

Please take a look at the AfD; I left a kind of important comment for you there... but please, don't take it the wrong way; it's not that big a deal, all things considered. Live and learn. It's not like you did any real harm, and I fixed the problem already, so it doesn't matter. You were bold, which is good, and you were absolutely correct in that the article should be deleted. That's cool in my book. Welcome to Wikipedia! If there's anything you need assistance with, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. -- Captain Disdain 00:00, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:BillingsCity.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:BillingsCity.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 08:57, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Spiffy map edit

Hi - your map for the North American version of I've been everywhere is certainly very spiffy. The North American locations are obviously more dispersed than the Australian definition of everywhere :-) Regards--A Y Arktos 01:17, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Are you still blocked? I did not get to your request earlier, since I was at university for most of the day. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 00:08, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

No, Everything seems to be alright now. Thank you very much. FireSpike 02:05, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Unblock edit

Did that do it? I'm a little confused. If you were blocked, how were able to post to my talk page? CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 21:39, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

It fixed it, but I'm not sure either. FireSpike 21:40, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

RfA edit

I noticed this edit you made on the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship page. This is not the proper procedure for adding an RfA to this page. Regardless, I do not recommend you nominate yourself for RfA at this time. Since June of 2005, there have been only a handful of people with less than 1,000 edits (you have 439) who have passed RfA, and the lowest of those had 700+ edits. I encourage you to keep contributing to Wikipedia, and be actively contributing for a few months with >2000 edits before attempting an RfA nomination. If you have any questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. All the best, --Durin 21:12, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Unblock request edit

From the template you added to the page "If the block message says that your IP address is blocked or that your IP address was recently used by a blocked user, please paste the block message or post your IP address below as we have no way of unblocking you if your username itself was not blocked". I assume you are an AOL user but I still need to know those details to do anything about it. --pgk(talk) 17:37, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Willkirby.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Willkirby.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

BB US edit

How do they know if they're up for eviction until they've all voted? godgoddingham333 21:37, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Oh, in the United States we play differently than in the UK. All the nominating is done by one person, the Head of Household. The voting that is actually done by all of the houseguests is for eviction. The reason being is that after season 1, the U.S. had their public voting rights revoked due to the fact that we made awful decisions for evictions. FireSpike 21:42, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh OK. Sorry bout that. So, do the US public not get a say at all? I guess the company that makes BBUS must lose a load of money from that then, huh? godgoddingham333 21:46, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Yeah. I miss the days where I could vote, but we just voted off anyone that was remotely entertaining. FireSpike 21:49, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Sounds like BBUK. We always get rid of the fun people. (Nikki for example)... :( godgoddingham333 21:53, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
You don't think Nikki will be voted back? FireSpike 22:04, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Yeh, but we evicted her in the first place. It's only after someone's gone that you realise how good a housemate they are! godgoddingham333 22:15, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:AustraliaCairnsFlame.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:AustraliaCairnsFlame.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:05, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Images on Wikimedia Commons edit

Hello! I noticed you've uploaded an image Image:AustraliaCairnsFlame.JPG which is the same as Image:Australia Cairns Flame.jpg, an image from Wikimedia Commons. Please note that since having an image on Wikipedia that is identical to one from Commmons is a waste of disk space and is speedy deletable, I've removed your duplicate image and changed User:UBX/Survivor to use the old version. Big Brother (UK series 7) edit

Hey there. I'm leaving you this message as you were a part of making the article Big Brother (UK series 7) and I've had the crazy idea of trying to get it to featured status, or at least a good article. I've made a peer review page, and comments there for improving would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you see I have left anyone out could you message them as well? Thanks. --Alex (Talk) 11:30, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
