Alone in the Wilderness is a documentary of the story of One Man's Wilderness: An Alaskan Odyssey, which details the retirement of Dick Proenneke in Twin Lakes, Alaska (Lake Clark National Park and Preserve).
Synopsis edit
In 1967, Dick Proenneke flew to Twin Lakes, Alaska, to assess an area to build a log cabin.[1] In 1968, he used a 16 mm wind-up Bolex camera, he documented the cabin construction (using only hand tools) alongside nature and the wilderness.[1] Narration is excerpted from the journals (One Man’s Wilderness) kept by Proenneke.[2]
