STAN SON OF MAN 15
Moeketsi Stanley Mofokeng also known as “Stan Son of Man 15” to his peers and fans. Is a rapper born and bred in Zone 3 SEBOKENG, a small township in the Vaal (South of Gauteng). He fell in love with the hiphop movementbackin the early 2000s throughhis big brotherMasilo “Malito”Mofokeng. Out of curiosity, Stan wrote his first rhyme at the tender age of 12, in grade 5, as he was the only rapper at his former primary school, Bula - Tsela Primary School. He carried out his love for hip hop throughout his high school years, even when he was still an active member of the school`s (Khutlo – Tharo Secondary School) choral choir. During his second time in grade 11, he met a friend, Paballo Lennon “PB” Nyambiri, who soon became his partner in rhyme, they called themselves E.M (Explicit Material). Shortly after high school, E.M split up. Few months after the break up, Stan released his first ever full length solo track titled “I`m Ready” produced by LeviBeatz, which made a name for him in the niche hip hop scene in the Vaal. Late 2012 he met Relebogile “GDVBCYE” Molefi through an amateur record label called R.A.P (Rappers And Poets), which consisted of five rappers and three poets. The label soon had a fall out but Stan Son Of Man 15 and GDVBCYEkept in contact till they both realisedthey shared the same drive and musical vision. On the same year, they joined forces and formed a super lyrical hip hop duo called DIALECT, which till this day still exists. DIALECT had its first ever big performance in Benoni at The Benoni Ban City Festival, three months after the duo was formed. Since then they have been performing in and out of the Vaal. In 2013 they released their first full body project titled “Special Delivery” which also earned them a spot in the local hip hop scene.Then 2014 saw them release their first commercialsingle titled “WENAWARENG” produced by Artman. The song won them the 2015 SVC 7 Nations (STQ Pictures) Music Video Sponsorship Competition against heavyweight musicians such as the soulful, talented vocalist/actor “NiQ Soul”, and it also scored the duo airplay and interviews at local radio stations such as Theta and Sedibeng FM, just to name a few. But the biggest highlight in Stan`s music career so far has to be the time he got chosen to partake in the second season of the DROP XVI AFRICA CYPHA series alongside other great South African hip hop artists such as the legendary disc jockey DJ KGB, the Johannesburg born talented rapper/producer DEATHSTAR and also the Vuzu Hustle Season 2 top three runner up, Huge Da Oracle. Stan Son Of Man 15 is currently signed under D.I.A (Dreams Infinite Academy), co-founded by him and Relebogile “GDVBCYE” Molefi, and is also signed under PHO`REAL HIP HOP ENT. found by Tshepo “Pho`netiq” Ngaosheng. Stan`s style of rap is defined by true life stories and an indicative urban youth of South Africa. He also recently released his first ever full body solo project titled STUBBORN FAITH. The project/Ep consist of eight songs plus a bonus track. With guest appearences from GDVBCYE (DIA), ABSTRACT, FREEKY and also the PHO`REAL HIP HOP camp. With production from WESSIDE, ARTMAN, ABSTRACT, DXN SWF and NAKED EYE (The Beat Bender). STUBBORN FAITH was released, with a music video for the leading single `REPREZEN` under both D.I.A (Dreams Infinite Academy) and PHO`REAL HIP HOP ENTERTAINMENT. Also to celebrate the success of STUBBORNFAITH, both PHO`REAL HIP HOP ENT & DIA hosted a launch/party for the Ep/Mixtape and to say thank you very much to everybody that’s been supporting both the boy and his team(s) up to this point. Which turned out to be a success as the response was positive. Since then the streets have been buzzing with Son Of Man`s praises.
