‘’Mary Ann “Toots” Zynsky’’’ (born 1951, in Boston, Massachusetts) is a contemporary American artist working glass. She is most well known for her undulating glass sculptures using her signature technique, ‘’filet de verre’’.

Mary Ann Zynsky was born in 1951 and raised in Massachusetts. She is known both professionally and personally as Toots Zynsky. She received her B.F.A. From the Rhode Island School of Design in 1973, where she had the opportunity to study with Dale Chihuly.

When Toots Zynsky was born in Boston, Massachusetts on the 25th of March in 1951, she was initially named Mary Ann, but soon thereafter was being called Toots (need reason for the name).
