COMMEMORATIVE AIR FORCE COLONEL HOWARD "MIKE" HUNT ALASKA WING[1], also known as CAF Alaska, is one of many local detachments of the national Commemorative Air Force (CAF) non-profit aviation association dedicated to Honoring American Military Aviation through Flight, Exhibit, and Remembrance.
The Museum is located at Merrill Field in Anchorage, Alaska. They operate a Vultee BT-13 Valiant aircraft, a Canadian RCAF Harvard MkIV trainer, and a Taylorcraft L-2M Grasshopper liaison aircraft - part of the CAF's fleet of over 170 vintage warbirds - with rides available to the public. The Museum is open for rides most Saturdays at Merrill Field in Anchorage during the summer from May through September each year.
