A wikignome, peaceful and contented.

Welcome to my profile. Sotuman is an internet alias. I am a mortal, fallible human who thinks that this website is a great way to collaborate and share knowledge, so that it may be preserved for future generations. I am also a Christian who believes that there is such a thing as absolute truth, for example that the Bible is the most reliable and credible document in existence. This worldview obviously isn't acceptable to many people because of the claims that the Bible makes, and this means that Wikipedia isn't exactly the place to talk about it because of the way that conversations are regulated. YouTube is one place where relatively uninhibited or unregulated talks can be had. Anyway, I still enjoy reading any of the millions of articles and make minor corrections if I have time, but I have come to terms with the fact that not everything I might read in the article space is of unbiased, encyclopedic calibre, and there is sometimes not much point trying to change it.

Those who disagree with the way articles are written can be excluded from the forming the consensus by use of arbitrary topic bans or blocks by the "gods of Wikipedia," i.e. the admins. Of course there are some good rules that are enforced, but on the whole Wikipedia is testament to the innate fallibility and mortality of humanity. The unfortunate end result of the bureaucratic or political arbitrariness allowed by some of the rules is that the relevance or encyclopedic quality of many of the articles on Wikipedia is decreased due to an insistence on proclaiming a biased version of "truth" that does not pan out consistently or logically.
