Buddhism Hotline edit

Buddhism Hotline is an American Internet call-in show on the website Youtube. Hosted by Jonathon Hills and tech supervisor Chad Felix, the show started in 2015 with the original cast being Mathis Miles, Jonathon Hills, and Dr. Gregory Pecks Phd. With a lore surrounding the show and frequent new and old hosts, not to mention the outrageous topics, the hotline always brings something new to the plate.

Averaging at 700-800 viewers per stream, viewers are encouraged to call in and donate kid friendly messages. The Buddhism Hotline has grown a cult following from it's interaction with the image board site 4chan and from the Memes started from the show. A Discord server has been created for fans to interact and discuss the show and mutual interests but is currently closed to the public due to frequent raiding and illegal activities.

History edit

Humble Beginnings edit

On October 17th, 2015, Jonathon Willis Hills was granted the funds to begin the Buddhism Hotline from his pastor, where he employed Dr. Gregory Pecks Phd and Burke Baxter after meeting the two at SeaWorld in San Diego, CA. In need of a tech supervisor, Jonathon ordered the help of the mentally disabled Mathis Miles. Thus, they began the show on Twitch. Not long after they started, word broke to the online image board site of 4chan and soon they started raiding the innocent show. Unknown to the BH cast or fans, this would start a downward spiral for the show and the cast's psyche.

The Breaking of Jonathon edit

When 2016 came around, the feel of the Buddhism Hotline changed. It felt more professional, more relaxed, not to mention them shifting to YouTube after being banned by Twitch. But that didn't stop the 4chan raiding or the cancerous donations. oh no, in fact, they increased. With this increase of cancer, it also began to show on Jonathon with accusations arising of him abusing Mathis Miles his tech supervisor/ co-host. These claims included Mathis being locked in a basement, assaulted by Jonathon, and locked in a room and left to starve. Also around this time, Jonathon started to lose his calm demeanor and showing a more violent, a more primal form as he would violently thrash and yell when a non- family friendly donation would air. Around this time, we got the introduction of two new co-hosts named Joe Smalls and Charlie Frazier. Smalls was picked up on the side of the ride by Jonathon and made a co-host and Frazier was born in Alaska and dedicated his life to Buddha after his Buddhist wife drowned. Kent Kennedy, a pharmaceutical entrepreneur (probably just a drug dealer), was later introduced as co-host after Frazier went into retirement. At the end of 2016, the Official Buddhism Hotline Discord server was created and Jonathon left the show. Taking over in his place is Mike Hard.

Official Buddhism Hotline Discord edit

In late 2016, Jonathon Hills and a community member created the Official Buddhism Hotline Discord server, or OBH for short. With the rise of this server, it started a new time for the hotline as they started interacting more with their fans and trolls alike. This brought upon names that people who watch the hotline know to this day including but not limited to Yoshikiller, BHC, Handsome Luke, Kaimund600, Deus, and Omega. But this also started its own lore separate from the lore of the hotline.

A New Era edit

The beginning of 2017 saw the rise of several things. The first was the beginning of Papa Trump's presidency and the next was the return of Jonathon Hills. Jonathon returned to the show as the main host with Mike becoming co-host. Later down the year, Jonathon started having issues with his co-hosts and staff.

Problems with Gregory Pecks edit

Starting mid-2017, Gregory and Jonathon started conflicting after Jonathon's action and him firing Gregory. Thus Gregory started drinking. Gregory went absent from the show until early 2018.

Mathis Miles edit

When accusations against Jonathon began, he became more hate filled and angry towards Mathis. It hit its breaking point in early 2018.

Mike Hard edit

Mike started showing signs of rebellion against Buddhism and Jonathon near the end of 2017. Mike's time on the hotline ended offline on Discord when Mike was fired. He vows to make a return.

Kent Kennedy edit

Kent was originally great friends with Jonathon but as the show continued, so did the strain on their relationship until Kent was fired.
