Saudy Familia (born October 22, 1996) is a drummer, arranger, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City. He released his first single, The One I Want, in 2015.

On 22 July 2016, Saudy released his debut album, Someone to Hold, composed by himself and recorded in his drum instructors home studio.

Early Life edit

Saudy was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1996. When he was seven years old he along with his mother and sister, Sally Familia, immigrated to the US and settled in Manhattan, New York. He attended Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School for both middle school and high school studying music under saxophonist Gian Tornatore. Music has always been a way of life for Saudy and his family. His father, Mateo Marte Santos, is a singer, pianist and songwriter. Saudys' uncle, Paulino Familia, is a Latin percussionist who plays for musical artist Max Banda.

Music Career edit

Saudy began singing at a young age, singing at church events and at his fathers' shows. His first opportunity came at age 7 when he sang and recorded in a song that his father composed.
