Laird was a member of the England under-17 squad that hosted the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.[1] In November 2019, Laird scored for England under-19 in a qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina.[2]

In October 2018, Elliott received his first call-up to the England national under-17 team.[3]

The following month saw him score his first goal at this age level away to the Republic of Ireland.[4]
