Patrick Fruchet is the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) Head of Office and Programme Manager for Afghanistan. Prior to this appointment, he served the United Nations in various countries. Patrick Fruchet began his career with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in 2000, where he was involved in peace education, social communication research methods, and on behaviour change communication. He has served with the UN in Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia, including working with UNMAS Afghanistan from 2003-2005 . He holds a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and received a Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences from McGill University.
