How to create a new folder in computer. edit

  1. Double click computer icon and then double click the disk/command bar drive.
  2. Click New folder button on toolbar.
  3. Type the name of the new folder and then press enter. The new folder appear in location your selected.

To find a file or folder. edit

1. click start button.

2. In search box on start menu, type the name of file/folder you want to search for.

3. Click see more result link.

4. The search Result window appears.

5. Locate the desired file in it and double click to open it.

Renaming Files and Folders. edit

  1. In a window, select the file or folder you want to rename.
  2. On the command bar, click organize.
  3. From the organize menu, selec rename.
  4. Type a new name and press enter.

To move/copy a file or folder. edit

  1. Double click computer. Find the file or folder you want to move or copy and then click it.
  2. click organize on the command/tool bar.
  3. To move the file click cut.
  4. To make a copy of the file,click copy.

5.Open the folder where you want to place the file, click organize as the tool bar and click paste.

To copy a file to a Removable Disk.(Pen drive) edit

  1. Double click computer. Find the file or folder you want to copy and then click it.
  2. Click organize->copy as depicted.
  3. Now browse your computer by clicking computer icon and open the folder where you want to copy your file.
  4. In the destination Folder, click organize menu's paste option.

To restore a file from Recycle Bin. edit

  1. Double click Recycle Bin icon on the desktop.
  2. Select the desired file in recycle bin.
  3. Click restore this item command on the toolbar.

To create a shortcut to a file. edit

  1. In a window, select file or folder you want to create to shortcut.
  2. Use right mouse button to drag file to location where you want to place the shortcut, In our case we want to place shortcut at desktop, so we will drag the desired file icon to desktop.
