MS-07B-3 Gouf Custom edit

The Gouf Custom is perhaps best known from its only appearance in animation to date, in the ninth episode of The 08th MS Team. In the episode, it is piloted by Norris Packard with the task of defending spaceward Zeon HLVs from attacking Federation forces. The Gouf Custom manages to do this task superbly, in the expert hands of Norris, and manages to evade the three RX-79[G]s seeking to destroy it long enough for it to disable three RX-75 mass-production Guntanks that were trying to bring down the HLV. Packard is killed and the Gouf Custom is destroyed by the RX-79[G] Ez8 when the Gouf attempts (and succeeds at) a suicide charge past the Ez8 to destroy the final remaining Guntank.[16]

This large mobile armor is first seen in the fourth episode of the series, "The Demon Overhead", where it is piloted by Aina Sakhalin. In its debut engagement, the mobile armor is damaged when the combined arms of the three protagonist Gundams drive it off.[11]

Apsalus II edit

The Apsalus II is the rebuilt and refit version of the first Apsalus. It makes its first appearance in episode 6 of the series, piloted by Aina Saharin.[13][14]

Apsalus III edit

The final version of the Apsalus mobile armor, the Apsalus III makes its appearance in episode 10 and 11 of[17][18]
A 1/2000 scale miniature of the Apsalus III is included with the HG 1/144 scale model of the GM Sniper released by Bandai in 1997.[22]

In the fourth episode of The 08th MS Team, Dopp fighters are seen escorting the Zeon mobile armor Apsalus. One of the Dopps is shot down during their engagement with the protagonists while the other, piloted by ace Norris Packard, escapes with the Apsalus.[11]

RGM-79[E] GM Type E edit

In the first episode, this mobile suit is found discovered battling a prototype Zeon mobile suit. It is piloted by yet-to-be 08th MS Team member, Terry Sanders.[8]

In canon, this was the first model in the GM-family of mobile suits, along with the RGM-79[G] Ground Type GM.

RGM-79[G] GM Sniper edit

In October 1999, a 1/144 scale model of the GM Sniper was released by Bandai. This boxed set also included a 1/2000 scale miniature of the Apsalus III mobile armor.[22] A Master-Grade plastic model kit was released by Bandai in November 2006.[25]


RX-75 Guntank Mass Production Type edit
