Shem Meluce, a singer, songwriter and musician hails from the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean. He became interested in music as early as eight years old in Church. Shem, discovered his skills as a songwriter when he wrote his first song, which was sung by a local church group at a Christmas event. He later composed songs for weddings, dedications, baptismal services and graduation ceremonies.

As his skills as a self-taught guitarist and drummer developed, he and other young men from his community of Laborie and church, formed a band called United Brothers For Christ (UB4C) of which Shem was the lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter. As a group they featured in concerts island-wide allowing him to share the stage with some of the best in Gospel music. His moves at ministering the gospel allowed him to work alongside the likes of music heavyweights such as Lt. Stitchie, Junior Tucker, DJ Nicholas, Minister Goddy Goddy, Sherwin Gardner, Manifest, J Square, 2nd Chance, Evangelist Wendy Mitchell, Evangelist Bridget Blucher, Jadee, Phil Tarver, Crystal Akins, Pastor Terrance Baynes, Emrand Henry and many others. Shem Meluce has also ministered to the prisoners and performs frequently at charitable fundraisers. He has also ministered in St. Vincent, Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Senegal West Africa, England and USA.

In 2009, Shem decided to go into studio with various producers and members of his band for live instrumentation on all the tracks of his debut CD called “OUT OF THE SHADOWS”. His previously recorded and released singles “Everything is Gonna be Right” and “Nothing Can Compare” (August 2005-2006) along with “Love is in the Air” (2008) having gotten much airplay, locally, regionally and internationally, were featured on this CD. For the making of this album, Shem Meluce teamed up with St. Lucian producers Werner “Semi” Francis and Patrice Regis of Fourya Studio, Shomari Maxwell of Sweet Notes Studio, Christopher Neil of The Den Studio and Marvin St. Ange and Delan Joseph of True Vine Records. The album, featuring Linda “Chocolate” Berthier was mastered by Jamaican music producer and engineer, Dale “Dizzle” Virgo.

Since the release of his album, Shem's goal for reaching out to people has driven him towards many touring opportunities around the world with his main focus being, bringing truth and hope to those in need. In an effort to more effectively fulfill this mission, he continues to strive in the betterment of his craft, which opened the doors of Bahamian Gospel Label Dunamus Soundz Music Group in January of 2013, where he is now signed on as a singer with the label.

In the year 2014 Shem was nominated in four categories at the annual Caribbean Marlin awards held in the Bahamas. Those categories include Album of the year, Song of the year, Contemporary Vocal Performance of the Year-Duo/Group and Pop recording of the year of which Shem is the successful winner for the year 2014.

In 2018, yet again, he was nominated for awards. This time, he was nominated for awards in eleven categories, at the annual People's Choice Prayze Awards.
