- Comments::Whilst I'm not sure these articles should be created on masse, deleting them only to have to recreate from scratch (you can undelete, but most likely someone will just start again) once they 'cross the line' is unnecessary effort, and a far cry from the articles on 14 yr old players created by their dads. - Comments: But not in a professional league (the accepted present criteria as I understand it). Note my specific comment: "On this occasion and not ordinarily". This means that I would not necessarily agree notability is satisfied for every player who has played a friendly for a fully professional team who are members of a fully professional league. On this occasion, as I recall, the consensus went towards notability because of sourced evidence that he was the subject of much interest in the game and in the media, so much so that deletion would have proved futile, as re-creation would have been inevitable within a short time (as it happens he still has not played for Arsenal or anyone else in a fully professional league, and may well be ripe for AfD again under the present rules).
