'Growing up in the 90’s in his father’s recording studio in Atlanta, Sean Kelly experienced the extraordinary combination of ambition and creativity at an early age while listening to the live sounds of TLC, OUTKAST and the like. His inbred love for music, aesthetic eye for detail, and vision for the future are the winning ingredients for the cutting edge music videos he directs and films today across the United States.
Travelling through Europe as a child with his free-spirited mother introduced him to a world of beauty and decadence which he eagerly captured on film with his first digital camera. A passion was born. The old aphorism, “A picture is worth a thousand words” describes Sean Kelly’s objective to convey a message to the viewer with his photography whether it is a portrait, still life or landscape. “To photograph is to appropriate the thing photographed. In 2010, Sean Kelly and his best friend since the age of 4 years old, Larry June founded thefreeminded Records.
