Simple Desktop Display Manager (SDDM) is a display manager (a graphical login program) for the windowing systems X11 and Wayland. Simple Desktop Display Manager was written from scratch in C++11 and supports theming via QML. It can be seen as the successor of the KDE Display Manager. SDDM is free and open-source software subject to the requirements of the GNU General Public License version two or later.
Adoption edit
At the moment of writing Simple Desktop Display Manager was adopted as default graphical login program by Hawaii (desktop environment).[1] Fedora is going to adopt SDDM as default for KDM SC.[2]
