List of episodes

Mad's first season originally broadcasted on Cartoon Network from September 6, 2010 to June 20, 2011. The showrunners for this production season were Kevin Shinick and Mark Marek.

Two DVDs were released each containing thirteen episodes on September 20, 2011 and January 17, 2012. Individual episodes were made available on some online retailers following their initial broadcasts. The latter fourteen episodes were billed as a second season despite the fact that production was still within the first season.

Overview

edit

The series premiered in early September of 2011[1][2] and broadcasted twelve episodes before the US Thanksgiving holiday.[3] The season resumed with episode thirteen in early February of the following year.[4] Prior to the broadcast, Cartoon Network had billed the episode as the premier of the show's second season despite the series still being within their first production season.[5] However, the second season would be official announced via the Mad newscaster in episode twenty-seven.[6]

The show's format follows several short sketches which make fun of various TV shows and films. Each of these sketches use different animation styles with contributions from artists such as Tom Richmond,[7] and M. Wartella.[8]
