I am rtmirand, living in Holland but grew up in Europe, USA, and Peru. My background is physics, mathematics, and computer science. I like to do Judo and skiing and rock collecting when on holiday. Also work as a freelance translator to keep up my 5.5 languages. What I like about Wikipedia is how it engages millions of contributors while managing to organize all that information. Furthermore, its non-profit, positive shared information philosophy is welcome in a world so dominated by bottom-line thinking. This is why I contribute every year.
