Waphong Inthan village is very rich in natural resources and regarded as the richest village in terms of natural resources among the Inpui Naga Villages located in the western side of Manipur. From Imphal to Village is almost 55 KM. Imphal is the nearest city of the village. We can travel directly to the village by vehicles. There's a road called Inthan Lampui or Kangchup Lampui. This road was constructed by the Britishers during their time for easy communication and transportation. It is one of the gateway of Inpui Nagas tribe. There are also numbers of rivers and streams that flowing in the village.i.e Ta-ah (Ijei river), Lwangla Kwa, Rabua Kwa etc. Cultivation is the main production for the livelihood. Every household have their terrace filed, farms etc. Waphong Inthan village is the only second village that situated in Senapati District of Manipur by the Inpui Nagas. Riamroi clan is the majority in the village also owners of the land. The Nampu or Khunbu is the owner of the land. Presently the title of Nampu is given to R. Keirijin. Christian Baptist is the only religion that found in the village.
