Archivist and researcher with a focus on Australian environmental and natural history. I have a particular interest in the environmental, political and conservation history of Queensland and am gradually working to develop the many poorly referenced and under attended stub articles on related topics into something more substantial.
I also source images which reside in the public domain in Australia and post them to Wikipedia Commons in order to accompany topics of interest.
My first article was about Australian Naturalist Hilda Geissmann and I am presently developing an article on botanical collector Ferdinand August Weinthal with the intention of contributing a number of articles along similar thematic lines in the future. Next up on my list are Northern Queensland botanists and botanical collectors Bruce Gray and the Rev. Ron Collins as well as conservation figure Mike Berwick.
