About this User edit

I first found Wikipedia in 2004, but only saw it as a curiosity at the time. Although I would occasionally visit the site to read a random article, it wasn't until I was working on term papers in 2005 that I began to actively use Wikipedia as a research tool. My professors' concerns about reliability prevented me from using the site as a reference, but I still found it very useful as an overview of topics. Therefore, when I left the university, I returned to Wikipedia as an editor in 2008 to try to improve Wikipedia's in the hopes that others may find it more useful and reliable. Since 2015 I've returned to graduate school, and haven't really had much time to continue editing (although I often lurk).

Education edit

Currently working on a PhD in Linguistics.

Past Projects edit

An occasional editor, my edits and contributions are relatively few and far between. The only page I contributed significantly to is US beef imports in South Korea. At the time it was very much in the news, and as it was rated as a 'high importance' article I thought I'd add what I could. The article has seen several dozen revisions since then, and could certainly use some formatting clean up, but it's on the backburner at the moment.

I recently worked on the the Tofa language page, and I'm currently taking a break.
