I'm a relatively new Wikipedian, still learning about this interesting and crazy world. I live in Chicago, IL with my two cats, Pippin and Screech, and am single. I am heavily involved in music and singing, having been a member of the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus since 1998, and also had a brief stint as a cabaret singer. In addition to writing, I enjoy photography, cooking and theater.

Blogger edit

In July of 2005, I started my first blog, "RcktRamblings," on Blogger.com. Within a few months I moved the blog to my own server at rcktman.com to a Wordpress platform, and renamed the blog "RcktMan's Launching Pad." The blog was a mixture of personal observations and politics, music and video clips. I changed the name of the blog to "The Launching Pad" in late 2007, and shut it down briefly in April of 2009. In July of 2009, I re-opened the blog at Wordpress.com (still linking to my domain of rcktman.com) and called it "Rick's Launching Pad," where it remains today.

Major Wikpedia Contributions edit

My first major Wikipedia contribution was to resurrect and re-write the page for Feast of Fun. This consisted of petitioning to restore the deleted entry, as well as preparing a complete re-write of most of the page. The page has been up since October of 2007 and has been well-maintained ever since.

My next project was to restore and re-write the entry for Internet celebrity B. Scott. This page was restored in December of 2008.
