LOUBERT Concerman ORCULLO, or a.k.a. RAY, Born: August 3, 1975. from the clan of ORCULLO FAMILY from Southern part of Mindanao (Salvacion, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur 8305 Philippines)… A Filipino Citizen, the first born child of Mr. SULBERT Avila ORCULLO, a Filipino Singer/Musician and impressionist. Sulbert Orcullo was entitled as a “Total Performer” of M/S PEARL OF SCANDINAVIA during the 80’s. He’s playing different types of instruments, specialized with his classic Alto Saxophone which was inherited from his Father Mr. NORBERTO Plaza ORCULLO, the great Band Master (and Lead Alto Sax) of the WILD CATS ORCHESTRA in MINDANAO…

Ray was the 3rd generation of Singer/Musicians from their Family background. His passion for music wasn’t his dreams but music leads his life thru’ hobbies and fun by singing. But destiny leads his way to reality of where he should be? And that was being a singer.

Ray, started singing during his High School days back in 1988, performing on Stages and Singing Competitions. He was the very 1st Triple Drummer of the SAHS Drums & Bugle Corp. of Saint Augustine High School in Surigao del Sur, during his 1st year high school days. He became a Band Master after a year when He was 2nd year high school then he holds his title and position being the Band Master during his 2nd year up to his 4th year high school days. He graduated the Secondary Education (High School Days) in 1992. Ray moved to the Major City of Luzon in Manila to continue his study to The NATIONAL COLLEGE of BUSINESS and ARTS (N.C.B.A.) in Taytay Rizal branch of the Philippines. But he never graduated in College after 2 years.

In 1993, Ray winning some singing competitions and was discover by one of the Board of Judges who owned the BALAG Pub & Restaurant in Binangonan, Rizal Province of the Luzon in the Philippines. He was offered to start his singing career in public as an employee (singer/entertainer) the begining of his profiles (LOUBERT ORCULLO). He started his singing career at night and study at day time as some college student. The learning and gaining of his wide range of song repertoire in many types of music genres, singing in different Provinces and Major Cities of Luzon in most of Pubs & Restaurants as a Minus-One Singer (solo performer), singing with a cassette tapes with backing tracks and vocal back-ups, singing voices of the Bee Gees, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdink, Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Louie Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Matt Monroe, Rod Stewart etc. (including some OPM singers). In 1996, he joined with the live bands called The SINERGY BAND as a male vocalist for a year.

In 1997, Ray began to explore his singing career far abroad and Bangkok Thailand as a.k.a. LOUIE as his stage name, where people named him “Louie Armstrong” and “Tom Jones”… Bangkok was his 1st journey and 1st break thru’… working with the recording company called MANG PONG RECORDS Co., Ltd. In the album of ASIAN SONG DISCOVERY, 1998 EDITION (released). Then he began singing in Hotels, Pub, Restaurants and Cruise Lines (dinner cruise) Pearl of Siam in Bangkok Thailand.

In 1998, Ray upgraded his knowledge in music industry as a male singer to a keyboard player for music arranging to achieve and learn keyboard and sequencing, those days before the laptop computer age or internet midi files age. Arranging music by the influences of TEX CIMAFRANCA and BONG MOSO, music arrangers who taught him music backing tracks arranging. Learning and working hard to provide himself a tracks and his singers for backing tracks to play and perform on stages.

In 1999, Ray moved to Malaysia (Revival Touch Band) and performed with some easy listening music playing Alto Sax for a year. Then moved back to Bangkok (Revival Trend Band) after millennium 2000, then he became the qualified but the youngest singer and impressionist of oldies goodies in Raddisson Hotel in Bangkok as a singer, reliever for his Father (Sulbert Orcullo) on roof top, a VIP club called 50’s 60’s 70’s … a lounge where all music genres are only exclusive for 30’s to 70’s music only.

In 2001, Ray moved to one of the major City of the Middle East in Bahrain (Starlites Band). In 2002, Ray moved back again to Bangkok as his home base (Social Blend Band). In 2003, Ray changed his route to work in China (5th Avenue Band) for a year in two top hotels and that was Shangri-La Hotels of Northern part of P.R. China.

In 2004, Ray was back in R.P (Philippines) to performed solo and with groups at the same time at different schedules in Pubs and Restaurants in Manila and stay to his homeland for awhile. Ray decided to stay for almost a year, after his hard works after 7 years of hitting the roads far from his own beloved country. Strive hard and loves to learn and gain everyday in every year. Ray tried to change his way of life and quit singing. But still music leads him back to where he belongs, because his passion for music grows more than ever before.

In mid 2004, Ray decided to re-route his way back to China (Magic Notes Band) and back as a.k.a. RAY, where people/guest called him “Ray Charles” and “Louie Armstrong” working in different locations from Provinces and major Cities of P.R. China,

and performed with various Pubs, Hotels, Music Lounge and Restaurants (RedPink Duo). 2010 - 2013,

Ray is now back with a band called the REDPINK BAND 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand... 
but unfortunately, band name changed from REDPINK BAND to MAHARLIKA BAND... due to political issues in thailand 2013 & 2014 (RED, YELLOW, WHITE & BLACK)
