Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao (born On 11 November 1954), is an Indian politician from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Kalvakuntla Vidhyasagar Rao is a Member of Legislative Assembly from Korutla (Assembly constituency). He currently serves as the Committee on Government Assurances Telangana Legislative Assembly. He is the son of Kalvakuntla Papa Rao & sattamma. He is multi-lingual, being fluent in Telugu, Hindi and Urdu.
Early life and Education
Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao was born in the Karimnagar district of Telangana (erstwhile Andhra Pradesh), India, on 11 November 1954. Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao is married to K Sarojana. The couple has two children.
He completed his schooling at the Govt High School, Raghavapet & paidimadugu. Further, he pursued intermediate education from Govt Junior College at Karimnagar, and went on to graduate as Bachelor of Arts from the Govt College at Karimnagar. Later he Worked as Class -1 Contractor.
Political career
kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao began his political career in 1999 He contested as MLA from TDP and losts. In 2000 he worked as APSRTC Zonal chairmen. In 2001 contested & won as ZPTC from Ibhrahimpatnam Mandal. 2004 contested as MLA as Independent candidate and losts with just 2000 votes. Then influenced by KCR in Telangana agitation movement he joined into TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) Party and elected as an MLA for Three times consecutively from Korutla constituency.
