Whats happening all? I'm the editor better known as Quatreryukami, but you can call me Quatre. The name, if you must ask, is my RP character, for just about anything, but his main space is the Soul Calibur universe. I plan on working on improving game related articles, just to GA, possibly to FA. I believe that game articles get way to little love and they need more. So expect to see me floating around the Wikiprojects and Task Forces for games( I am a founding member of WikiProject: Devil May Cry fyi). Be aware that I happily accept Barnstars! *shameless plug* Happy Editing. If you would like to contact me outside of Wikipedia, email me at anime_freak2035@yahoo.com

About Me edit

A Hero has fallen edit

Wow. This is not a good time to be a wrestling fan. 2 of the greatest, Eddie Gurrerro and Chris Benoit, have both died in the past 2 years. I almost wanted to cry when I heard the final wording on his death. This must be a sign from the gods of wrestling that the storys might have gone too far, that WWE Company has not payed proper respect to the real legends of wrestling. Evidence: Sensational Sherry dies durring the Vince is dead story line and gets a 5 second tribute. Vince's fake death gets 2 weeks and a *now canceled of course* 3 hour tribute. WTF My heart goes out to all relations to the Benoits, and to all his friends. We have lost one of the greatest, and there will never be another like him Quatreryukami 05:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

My WikiStyle edit

As you can see from my edit histories, I usually float around Video Game and Anime related articles. Mostly patroling for vandalism and facts, however I recently have been adding facts of my own to certain articles (see Super Smash Bros for some of my work). I someday hope to be an admin, and, as such, I have been adopted by Admin Deckiller for helping me out with wiki-problems. When it comes to some things, such as vandalising my user page (I display the number of vandalisms proudly), I can laugh at it. However, I will not tollerate any mallicious vandals to legitimate articles. Be warned. But otherwise, I'm here for fun. So lets try to make it fun, eh?

Wikipedia and Schools edit

As a high school student, I am constently researching different subjects for papers and the like. But, my school has adopted policy saying, quote

WIKIPEDIA is a user-contribution web site. Its content may be edited online by readers. Therefore, it is not an acceptable source for our research goals

This feels like a slap in the face of myself and my fellow editors. It feels like we are all working for naught while reading this statement. All our work is " not an acceptable source". Sure, we are not perfect. Not every little fact is cited, but there are hundreds that are, and those that aren't are singled out as needing it. Sure, we are not perfect. Not every page is completely encyclopedic. But there are we editors, working diligently for hours on end, at all hours of the day. I can't tell you how many times I've been here and seen it turn to 11-11:30 PM. Therefore, I will be starting a campaign to increase Wikipedia's reliablity. Any help that can be offered (studies, polls, etc.) will be needed. Please help!

Permission is hereby granted to vandalize my page. Quatreryukami 16:29, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

You are not a true Wikipedian until your page is vandalized. My page has been vandalized 1 million times. Even that was vandalism! It's so good, I'm leaving it there! But, seriously, my page has been vandalised 3 times.

On a sadder note, it is with a heavy heart that we must see Fredil leave the project. He was the one who greeted me on my first day and I hope that all goes well in his life outside wikipedia.

Personal Achievements edit

  • Promoted Super Smash Bros. to GA
  • Being a user w/o a single barnstar, 100s of edits later! That must be some record...(wants a barnstar) Quatreryukami 02:20, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Using templates

Templates are a type of page that contain boilerplate text that is intended to be displayed on more than one page in Wikipedia.

This Tip of the day box is an example of a template (there are several versions actually), and besides being displayed here it is displayed on many userpages as well.

Template names start with the prefix "Template:" followed by the page name. The main version of the template you are reading right now is called "Template:totd".

To display a template on a page, go to the target page, click "edit", and add the template's name (with or without the prefix) surrounded by double curly brackets to the page's source text. (The text you see in the edit box when you click edit this page is called "source text", because it is a lot like programming code, which is called "source code").

Including a template on a page in this way is called "transclusion". Here's an example:

To include the Template:Philosophy topics, type this at the end of the philosophy article you wish to place it on::

{{Philosophy topics}}

To add this auto-updating template to your user page, use {{totd}}
