The Sealand national football team is the team that represents the Principality of Sealand. It is not a member of FIFA or UEFA, but is associated with the Nouvelle Fédération-Board, a football sanctioning body for non-recognised states and states not members of FIFA. They were admitted to N-F as a provisional member in 2005 and as an associate member in 2006.[1]

The Sealand National Football Association was founded in 2003. In 2004 they played their first game against Åland Islands national football team drawing 2–2.[2] All players on the Sealand team were members of Vestbjerg Vintage Idrætsforening. In 2006, they suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Northern Cyprus[3]
On December 23, 2009, Scottish author Neil Forsyth was appointed head of the SNFA [4] He stated a goal of having the nation qualify for the VIVA World Cup
On May 5, 2012, Sealand's football team took to the field against the Chagos Islands at Weycourt in Godalming, Surrey. The Chagos Islands won, 3-1. The team was captained by former Bolton Wanderers defender Simon Charlton and also included actor Ralf Little. [5][4]
Under-20 team edit
Sealand's official U-20 National Football team is coached by American high school soccer coach Rory Miller and is mostly composed of players from his current and recent past roster at Muhlenberg North High School in Greenville, Kentucky.
Kit edit
Sealand's kit has the same colors as the Flag of Sealand. It consists of a red jersey with a white horizontal stripe across the front and another one down each sleeve. The shorts are black, and the socks are white.[4]
