Ruth De Jong is an American production designer and art director for film and television.

Life and career edit

Ruth De Jong was born in San Bernardino, California, USA, and grew up in a nearby valley, Waterman Canyon. Her family moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, when she was 12 years old. De Jong attended Texas Christian University to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and photography. After her graduation, she decided to pursue a Master of Fine Arts at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. However, American production designer Jack Fisk, father of her childhood best friend Schuyler Fisk, invited her to work on There Will Be Blood. Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle is a Japanese animated sports film directed and written by Susumu Mitsunaka and animated by Production I.G. Based on Haruichi Furudate's manga series Haikyu!!, the film acts as the sequel to the fourth season of the anime television series, following the volleyball team of Kara the .
