Jake Wade

International Chess Player

Mr Jake Wade has always had a huge passion for chess. From a young age he took part in multiple chess clubs, building his experience and skill. This lead him to few local tournaments during his youth, and in late 2013 he took part in the World Chess Championship, held in Chennai Idia. After taking a few years out, he then progressed to taking part in the 2017 World Chess Championships held in Denmark. Wade impressively beat Hans Gruber in the final, but has not since returned to playing chess at a global level, and also missed the Global Chess Federation's celebrations on World Chess day on the 20th of July 2017, which disappointed many fans. Maybe he has fallen out of love with the 8x8 board, or maybe he will make a tremendous return, blowing us all away with his skills.
