Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, Phantomsteve, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to be a shared account. On Wikipedia, an account is for a single editor only (see "Sharing accounts"). If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you.

Regards,

Overview edit

This template is used for placing a warning about a user's name on their talk page. It must be SUBSTituted.

It is based on {{uw-username}}, but personalised for one reason (the user name indicating 2 or more people) and without the "Hello and welcome to Wikipedia" intro, along with more details on the reason why this is against policy.

It is intended to be used along with the {{user:phantomsteve/welcome}} template, but works as a stand-alone.

Please note that this template automatically places the user's name in Category:Wikipedia usernames with possible policy issues. (The reason for SUBSTing it is so that this category can be removed if required, for example if the user receives an indef block)

Syntax edit

{{User:Phantomsteve/multi-name[|welcome=<non-blank>]}}

Variables edit

  • welcome=<non-blank>
    • if present, the "Regards, " will be left off

Examples edit

Basic use edit
