This template is for informing an editor that you have done a review for them at Wikipedia:Editor review.

It needs to be SUBSTituted, or an error will be generated.

Please note that if this is not placed on the user's main talk page, the link to the editor review may not work unless an alternative location is provided.

Syntax

Variables

• location=alternative location:

If the review is not at [[Wikipedia:Editor review/<user name>]], this can be used to give the location (e.g. Username 2) - do not include the Wikipedia:Editor review or the square brackets.

• backlog=<non-blank>:

If there is a backlog (i.e. the request is older than a couple of weeks), this can be used to add Sorry for the delay in getting one done — we are slowly catching up with the backlog! to the message

• new=<non-blank>:

If the editor is a relatively new one (perhaps less than 1000 edits), this can be used to prevent the suggestion of reviewing another user being shown.
