Simrat is a percussionist based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi.

Being the son of a great vocalist, Mrs. Amarjeet Gandhi & Disciple of Renowned Tabla Vaadak Pt. Kumar Bose Ji of the Benaras Gharana nd Pt. Pradeep Malik ji he has been blessed with exceptional talent in music.

From the age of Nine years, Simrat has been receiving formal instruction in classical music.

Pt. Pradeep Malik ji taught him how to play the tabla.

He also received instruction from Shri Harvinder Babbi ji and learned about the finer nuances of the Dholak.

Simrat learnt percussions and dhol from Shri Harvinder Babbi Ji (A great Dholak player nd Composer)

Apart from that, he played Percussions like Djembe nd Congo in Street Plays by Ramjas' Theatre Society.

Simrat is an expert at playing the Dhol, Dholak, Drums, Duff, Snare, Darbouka,Damru,Congo nd many more small Percussions.

Recordings and concerts with Sufi exponent nd music arranger Rahul Srinivas ,Singer Mandy Mann, popular Fusion band, Sufmonks, Classical Vocalist Vidhushi Debjani Dhar nd Gurubaani  exponent, Gurmeet Singh (Shant) have given him a complete exposure to talent and music.

He  also Accompanied his Percussion music with Choirs of Maitreyi College nd Mata Sundri College For Women(Delhi University).

Simrat has also performed with bands like Bhadraksh, Suf monks, Acoustic Mizaaj and Playing Partners.[1]
