In honor of African women, especially women of Nigerian descent, Wikimedia UG Nigeria in collaboration with Project Pink Blue, Goethe Institut and WikiAfrica will be co-hosting Wiki Loves Women in Nigeria.The event is conceptualized to improve the coverage of women on wikipedia and her related projects. Wiki Loves Women Edit-a-Thon 2016 edit

Goals edit

To make a substantive improvement to the representation of Nigerian women on Wikipedia
To encourage the Nigerian women community to learn how to contribute to Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Projects.

When: Thursday, September 29th 2016; 9:00am – 4:00pm; Friday, September 30th 2016; 9:00am – 3:00pm

Who: Wikipedians; Interested member of the society; No advanced technical skills required – those with experience will help

What to bring: Laptop computer with power cable; If you’ve been part of the data-gathering exercise leading up to the edit-a-thon, bring your files and photos; If you have not been part of the preparatory research work, there will be an ambitious task list for you to work on.
