This project is a huge undertaking with the goal to locate as much missing information about Maryland elections.
Project should start with governor.
Step-by-step edit
Main Pages edit
- Political party strength in Maryland could use sources.
- List of members of the Montgomery County Council (Maryland) should be finished, needs sources for all the vice presidents.
- An amazing source for things like Comptroller and Attorney General.
- Original sheet
- MOST IMPORTANT ONE
- Remember the Redirect to Section used on Senate could be presidential too.
- Can get turnout from the Md.gov elections on the recent pages that list that.
Talk Pages edit
- All pages should be in Template:WikiProject banner shell.
- All should be WikiProject Politics. Get everything to C class, Low importance. subject=event
- All should use WikiProject Maryland. Get everything to C class, Low importance. subject=event
- All should use WikiProject Elections and Referendums. Get everything to C class, Low importance. subject=event
- Senate and House: WikiProject U.S. Congress. Get everything to C class, Low importance. subject=event
- Presidential: See the specific pages for what to include if it's presidential.
General edit
- Presidential elections should look like 2020 Maryland elections page.
- Midterm elections should look like 2010 Maryland elections page.
Phase 1: Federal edit
BE SURE TO ONLY COMMENT THE BELOW TABLES OUT WHEN THEY ARE DONE. THIS WILL MAKE THE OVERARCHING ELECTION PAGES EASIER TO CREATE.
US President edit
- DONE.
US Senate edit
- DONE
US House edit
- The older pages are going to have to be reworked in order to look similar to how new pages look. 1789 United States House of Representatives elections in Maryland was the first rework. This was the first article done and should serve as a template. Remember to make sure other elections are linked to in the "coincide" section.
- LAST THING: TALK PAGES, NOT DOING UNTIL PAGES ARE ACTUALLY MADE. Remember to update the Main Page for each election (like 1789 House of Reps Elections)
Phase 2: State edit
Governor edit
- Elections every 4 years. There's weird stuff with the page titles and redirects.
- Maryland Governors up until 1838 (https://msa.maryland.gov/msa/speccol/sc2600/sc2685/html/govelect.html) were elected through the Legislature vote. There has to be a recording of these votes somewhere.
State Senate edit
- Elections every 4 years.
- Maryland state senate delegations
- On hold
State House of Delegates edit
- Elections every 4 years.
- Maryland state house of delegates delegations
- On hold
- Could be useful: https://msa.maryland.gov/msa/speccol/sc2600/sc2685/genassem/html/ga1777.html
Phase 3: Minor State edit
Attorney General edit
Comptroller edit
Phase 4: Bringing It All Together edit
Year Maryland elections edit
- Should be linked on every election page's see-also as well.
- Could also convert all links to Template:ElectionsMD to whatever it redirects to.
